Na Yeon Choi won the 9th event in her career and the second in 2015. Choi said that she is very happy and satisfied. She hit 3-wood and 8-iron. Then, she hit controlled 8-iron. Choi knew that it will be good, but she didn’t expect to go in. She approached a tee shot in the middle with Stacy Lewis having one shot lead. Then, Choi changed the situation with her eagle while Stacy Lewis missed her putt. Because of this, Choi got one shot lead.
Choi only needed one shot to ‘’close the door’’. She managed a two hot lead soon. The famous shot into the 17th was also with an 8-iron. Choi’s end result was 15- under 198. It was recorded on a day when she struggled with the flat stick. However, she improved her game. On Sunday, she scored 2-under 69.
Choi announced that her putting wasn’t very good. In fact, it didn’t work. But, she kept trying and she kept her focus on her swing and shots. After 16, after she hit second shot, she knew that the situation is good and there is no reason for concern. She was very happy after the impact, but she couldn’t see the ball going in. But, she heard a lot of screams around the green, so she realized what she has done.
Mika Miyazato finished as the runner up. She finished at 13 under par, after Stacy Lewis bogeyed the 18th. Golfers: Anna Nordqvist (70), Lewis (68) and Azahara Munoz (66), tied for 3rd at 12 under par. All of them are satisfied with the event.
